Today, £29 doesn’t get you much.

You couldn’t take your partner out for a meal, you couldn’t do a weekly shop, and you definitely couldn’t fill your car with petrol or diesel. You wouldn’t get much change after buying a couple of trendy cocktails, and you’d be hard pushed to see your favourite football team play at home for less than £30.

But what £29 CAN buy you is a better life.

If you want to try the latest fitness craze, take up a new hobby or sample the delights of a new cuisine, a new app aimed at time-poor people who want to address their work / life balance might just be the answer to your prayers.

For £29 a month, subscription-based Wonderush offers an extensive range of activities to users. In fact, you can choose from over 500. Described as a ‘bucket-list made into a business’, the app is only available in London at present, but there are plans to roll it out across the UK in the next 12 months.

Check it out here:

While I’m not sure I’ll be downloading Wonderush any time soon, this news story got me thinking about how I divide my time between work and leisure. And it’s a question you should ask yourself?

Have you got a good work / life balance? Or are things a little off kilter for you?

Are you managing to do the day-to-day work and still spending time with your friends and family? Or are you so busy making a living, you forgot to make a life?

It’s so easy to get caught up in your work – trust me, it happens to me to! – but have we got to the point where we need a mobile phone app to tell us to get out there and enjoy ourselves? I didn’t think so…

This week, why not make a conscious effort to switch off from work, and spend time doing what you love. Whether that’s curling up and watching a cheesy film, hitting the gym or taking up a new hobby; get out of the office, switch off your phone and laptop and get that balance back in your life!

You’ll be amazed at the difference it can make to your mind-set…and you don’t need to pay £29 a month to find that out!

Speak soon!
