Challenges
Our previous accountants were not proactive enough for us. As the business grew over the 10 years of trading, the accountants had not done the same. Due to this they became more reactive rather than pro-active accountants . We needed someone who was a lot more involved with the business itself.
I hate, or should I say hated doing the books. I did them for the first 12 years that I was running my own business, because at the time I thought I had to do them myself. Thankfully following a short conversation with a bookkeeper, I was informed that I did not have to do what I had been doing for the past 12 years! Which not only was it good news for me, it was good news for my business. To do the accounts each month it used to take me two full days which, when you factor in how much the business would be earning If my time was spent focusing on the business instead or focusing on growing my business, it was a no brainer to get this work outsourced.
